Frequently Asked Questions

What does "countersunk" mean for this pad?
Countersunk means the mounting holes are chamfered so countersunk head screws sit flush with the pad surface — no protruding screw heads that could snag lines or cause injury.

Does this pad have a matching grommet pad?
Yes — SKU 0178 pairs with SKU 0164, a 1/4" thick 5" x 7" rectangular grommet pad with the same hole pattern. The CS pad goes on the outside of the pedestal wall for a flush finish; the grommet pad goes on the inside for galvanic isolation.

What fasteners work with this pad?
Use countersunk head screws sized to match the mounting holes. Hardware and fastener requirements vary by installation — consult your fabricator for the appropriate specifications.

Why four holes in a rectangular pattern?
Four-hole rectangular patterns provide balanced fastener distribution across a wider surface — ideal for mounting hardware on flat pedestal and hard top panels.
